A Look at Modernism in Logo Design


A new book—Logo Modernism—by Jens Müller set to be released in November showcases the best of modern corporate logo design. The German graphic designer compiled over 6,000 logos covering the period from 1940 to 1980 into this 400+ page hardcover retrospect. The featured logos are divided up into three major categories: geometric, typographic, and effect, based on the defining elements of each company’s mark. The logos are also helpfully grouped with others that share a common letter of the alphabet, a prominent shape, or optical effect (such as depicting movement) as their focus. Each logo is accompanied by the company name, year the logo was introduced, and the designer and agency responsible for the piece.

Logo Modernism not only displays fine examples of the use of simple shapes and symbols to define a brand, but also features case studies, designer profiles, and an essay on modernism and graphic design by its contributor, R. Roger Remington. Whether you are simply interested in the history of modernism in design, or are looking for inspiration to guide your designs back to the basics, this book should probably make its way to your holiday wishlist. At $70, it’s not exactly inexpensive, but valuable reference sources tend to be worth every penny.

Optimizing a PC's BIOS

Advanced settings for the fastest, most reliable white-box systems anywhere

Last week, in part 1 of this two-part Recipe, I discussed what a BIOS is and why you need to configure it correctly to achieve both the fastest and most reliable scenario for your customers' computers. If you have not yet read Part 1, it is imperative that you do so before continuing. Part 1 can be found here.

This week, I will discuss advanced features of the BIOS. These include proper configuration of built-in peripherals, as well as power-management issues to consider. Let's dig in.

Advanced: Integrated Peripherals

This section of the BIOS contains settings for built-in peripherals included with the motherboard. This includes serial and parallel ports, as well as audio, LAN, and USB ports. Unused ports are a significant drain on resources and should be disabled.

Primary VGA BIOS: This setting is used only when there are two video cards installed in the PC: One AGP (accelerated graphics port) and one PCI (peripheral component interconnect). The system wants to know which card to initialize first and make its "main" card. If you only have one video card, it is most likely AGP. For most people, the default setting is wrong and should be changed to AGP VGA Card. If you have two video cards, select the video card that you want to be the "main" or primary card. The primary video card will show the Windows splash screen and POST results during initial boot-up.

USB Controllers: This feature allows you to limit your AGP functionality. You may choose to allow only AGP 1.1, AGP 1.1 and 2.0, or disable AGP altogether. Most people will want to set this to AGP 1.1 and 2.0 for maximum versatility.

USB Legacy Support: This setting must be enabled if the PC has a USB keyboard and the user wants to use this keyboard either in a DOS environment or before the operating system loads (boot menus, for example). If this setting is disabled, then booting to a floppy disk or CD-ROM will render the keyboard useless. Also, ironically, trying to enter the PC's BIOS may be impossible if this setting is disabled and a USB keyboard is involved. If the PC has a USB keyboard with a rectangular connector, then set this to Enabled. If it has a PS/2 keyboard (round connector), set this to Disabled. Be aware that enabling this feature may result in problems with the computer waking up from Standby or Hibernate mode, or the computer may not shut down properly. In other words, enable this only if you must.

USB Mouse Support: Same as above. Disabled is the preferred setting.

Onboard AC97 Audio Controller: If a sound card such as a Soundblaster Audigy has been added to the PC, or the system does not have speakers, be sure to Disable the motherboard's on-board sound card. This will free up precious resources and prevent potential conflicts. For most systems, however, this feature should be set to Enabled.

Onboard AC97 Modem Controller: Some motherboards are sold with built-in or proprietary dial-up modems. This is rare on white-box systems, but many tier-one manufacturers utilize these devices. If the system lacks a modem, or if the modem is plugged into a standard PCI slot on the motherboard, then this setting should be Disabled. Otherwise, it should be Enabled.

Onboard LAN (nVidia): This lets you enable or disable the built-in network interface card (NIC). The options are Auto or Disabled. The ASUS motherboard I used for this Recipe has two built-in network interface cards. This is particularly useful for people who want to use the PC as a router to share their high-speed broadband Internet connection. One NIC plugs into the cable modem, while the other NIC plugs into a hub, switch, or other PC via a crossover cable. If your customer, like most people, uses only one NIC, disable the one they are not using to free up valuable resources. Note: Both NICs are created equal, and there is no benefit to using one over the other.

Onboard LAN (3Com): This is the second built-in network interface card (NIC), as mentioned above. If the customer doesn't use both NICs, disable the one they are not using to free up system resources.

Onboard 1394 Device (Firewire): This feature enables or disables the built-in IEEE 1394 (also known as Firewire) port on the PC. If the system does not have any Firewire devices, or if the Firewire connector is not plugged into the motherboard (some motherboard manufacturers sell them separately), disable this device to free up valuable resources.

Floppy Disk Access Controller: Most PCs today do not have floppy drives. If that's the case for your customer's PC, or if they never use their floppy drive and would rather have resources available for other things, then disable this device. Note: If your customer has a floppy drive and decides to disable it here, the drive will not function unless you go back in to the BIOS and re-enable it.

Onboard Serial Port 1: Most people no longer use serial ports for connecting external peripherals, as most serial devices have been replaced by USB equivalents. If your customer does not use the system's serial ports, disable the ports and free up the resources for other things. On the other hand, if your customer does use the serial port, then this setting should be set to 3F8/IRQ4.

Onboard Serial Port 2: Same as above if your customer does not use this. If they do use it, then set this to 2F8/IRQ3.

UART2 Use As: A UART (Universal Asynchronous Receiver/Transmitter) is a chip that receives and transmits data serially; each serial port you have will use one, though it is possible that several may be integrated onto one chip. Many motherboards offer an infrared device to use in place of Serial Port 2. This is where you can make that decision. You will need the infrared adapter installed on your specific motherboard, usually sold separately, to utilize the Infrared feature.

Onboard Parallel Port: This setting lets you decide whether to select parallel port mode resources or disable the parallel port completely. If your customer has nothing plugged into the parallel port, disabling it will free up valuable system resources. But if they use the parallel port, then I recommend you set it to: 378/IRQ7.

Parallel Port Mode: If you have disabled the parallel port, then this setting is irrelevant. However, if the parallel port is enabled, you should configure it to run in EPP (enhanced parallel port) or ECP (enhanced capabilities port) mode. EPP mode is recommended if the system has just one device, such as a printer, plugged into its parallel port. Select ECP if you have daisy-chained more than one device -- such as an external Zip drive, scanner, printer, or tape drive -- to the system's parallel port. To take full advantage of these settings, make sure you're using IEEE-1284-compliant parallel cables.

ECP DMA Select: If you select ECP or EPP plus ECP as your parallel port mode above, then this option is made available to you. With it, you can select which DMA (Direct Memory Access) channel you want it to use. I recommend the default setting of 3.

Onboard Game Port: If your customer has added a sound card to the system, or if they do not use either MIDI-devices or obsolete joysticks, then this feature should be disabled to free up resources. If, however, they do use the onboard game port, then I recommend the default setting of 201.

Onboard MIDI I/O: MIDI (Musical Instrument Digital Interface) defines the standard that lets musical instruments, computer hardware, and software communicate. If your customer doesn't use their computer for making or playing MIDI music, you can safely disable this device. Otherwise, I recommend the default setting of 330.

Onboard MIDI IRQ: Same as above. If enabled, I recommend the default setting of 10.

Advanced - Power Management Setup

This area of the BIOS seems to be the most misunderstood. It is primarily responsible for systems that do not shut down correctly or that enter or awaken from the Standby or Hibernate mode when these settings are not properly configured. Since Windows has built-in power management, you'll want to disable all power management in the BIOS. Otherwise, the two fight with each other, and neither works properly. Motherboard manufacturers don't assume everyone is using Windows, and many of these settings exist for non-Windows users.

ACPI Suspend to RAM: ACPI stands for Advanced Configuration and Power Interface, not to be confused with APIC or IPCA, which some people may find as an option in their BIOS. The Suspend to RAM feature, sometimes referred to as S3/STR, lets the PC save more power when in Standby mode. But all devices within or attached to the computer must be ACPI-compliant. Some BIOS's offer an S1/POS option for this scenario. If you enable this feature and experience problems with the standby mode, simply go back into the BIOS and disable it.

Video Off Method: The DPMS (Display Power Management System) option allows the BIOS to control the video display card if it supports the DPMS feature. The Blank Screen option simply blanks the screen -- use this for monitors without either power-management or "green" features. The V/H SYNC Blank option blanks the screen and turns off the vertical and horizontal scanning. If the computer and monitor were built within the last four years, I recommend setting this to DPMS.

HDD Down In Suspend: This feature determines whether the hard-disk drive is automatically shut down when the computer enters Suspend mode. While most power settings of this type are controlled within Windows, if you find the hard drive is not powering down when the computer enters Suspend mode (assuming your customer even uses suspend/hibernate mode), then enable this option. Otherwise, the recommended setting is Disabled.

PWR Button : By default, all ATX computers will power off after the power button is held for more than four seconds. This setting tells the computer what to do if the power button is held down for less than four seconds. The options are: power off or enter suspend mode. This setting is up to you.

Power Up On PCI Device: If your customer uses Wake-On-LAN (typically used in large office environments to turn on computers remotely for remote administration), you will want this setting Enabled. Otherwise, I recommend you set this to Disabled.

Wake/Power Up on Ext. Modem: This setting tells the computer to turn itself on when a phone line plugged into its modem rings. Once again, this is used for remote administration. For other settings -- in other words, most users -- I recommend you set this to Disabled.

Automatic Power Up: This feature, if enabled, lets you designate a specific time each day when the PC will turn itself on. If that's useful to the customer, set it to Enabled. Otherwise, I recommend Disabled.

Time (hh:mm:ss) of Alarm: This field sets the time for automatic power-up, based on a military/24-hour clock. The Automatic Power Up field must be enabled to use this feature.

AC Power Loss Restart: This option lets you tell the PC what to do in the event of a power loss. Disabled leaves the system off. Enabled reboots the system. Previous State sets the system back to the state it was in before the power interruption. I recommend you set this to Disabled.

Power On By PS/2 Mouse: When enabled, this feature allows the use of a PS/2 (not USB) mouse to turn on the system. Disabled is recommended so your customer doesn't accidentally keep turning on their computer.

Power On By PS/2 Keyboard: When enabled, this feature lets specific keys on a PS/2 keyboard be used to turn on the system. Disabled is recommended, as most people find this more of an annoyance when they accidentally press a wrong key.

Advanced - PnP/PCI Configurations

This area of the BIOS exists primarily for compatibility with old or unusual hardware. Most people will not need to make any changes from the factory default settings.

Reset Configuration Data: The Extended System Configuration Data (ESCD) contains information about non-PnP (plug and play) devices only. It also remembers the configuration of the system since the last time it was booted. Enable this feature if you want the system to clear this data during the Power-On-Self-Test (POST). This is typically used when diagnosing a piece of hardware that is not working correctly. Once you've Enabled this and exited the BIOS, the data will be cleared, and the setting will automatically be returned to Disabled.

Resources Controlled By: This setting tells the computer to either set IRQs automatically or to allow for all devices to be assigned IRQs manually. Manual IRQ selection can be quite challenging and is usually only required when working with older, non-PnP compliant peripherals. The recommended setting is: AUTO(ESCD).

IRQ Resouces: This option allows for manual IRQ configuration and will only be available as an option if you selected MANUAL in the previous setting.

PCI/VGA Palette Snoop: This feature is typically used by video add-on cards, such as MPEG encoders. They do not have their own palette, so they must borrow or "snoop" the palette from the system's video card. If, like most people, your customer does not have a secondary video device plugged into the video card, then this setting should be set to Disabled.

Security Menu
The security section of the BIOS is used to keep unauthorized people from making any changes to the BIOS. Because settings in the BIOS are so critical to proper PC operation, many office IT staff choose to lock out all non-IT personnel by using a password that only IT personnel have access to.

Security Option: This feature lets you password-protect the BIOS to prevent unauthorized users from making changes. It can also be set to require a password at boot-up. The options available are Setup or System and define the limitations of the options below.

Set Supervisor Password: If you choose to select a Supervisor Password, a password will be required to enter the BIOS after you chose SETUP, as described above. If you choose SYSTEM as described above, then a password will be required for booting, too.

Set User Password: A different password assigned to users is required to boot the PC and permits the user to only adjust the date and time in the BIOS if a Supervisor Password has also been selected.

Note: If these passwords are forgotten or lost, you will have to reset the BIOS back to factory defaults by temporarily moving a jumper on the motherboard.

Hardware Monitor Menu

This part of the BIOS displays and sometimes monitors voltages, fan speeds, and temperatures. The ASUS motherboard used in this Recipe even lets you set the system to automatically slow or speed its fans depending on the system's internal temperature. You may also be able set a CPU warning temperature that will sound an alarm. Some BIOS's, even have the option of powering down the system once a pre-set temperature has been exceeded, or if the fan is turning too slowly or not at all. This can prevent the CPU from burning up.

If the BIOS has these options, you will find them all here, and they should be labeled clearly. Because today's CPUs run extremely hot, enabling features that monitor and prevent permanent damage to the entire system is just common sense. I recommend you take advantage of them.

Each CPU has individual heat limitations. An example of AMD Athlon CPUs heat thresholds can be found in a table located in part 1 of this recipe (scroll down to find it). Generally speaking, if the option to issue an warning beep or shut down the computer if a specific temperature is reached or exceeded exists in the BIOS, there will be several pre-set temperatures to choose from. I recommend setting it to the second hottest temperature option offered.

Exit Menu
This is where you can discard all the changes you've made, save them, or reset every BIOS setting back to its factory default.

No matter how much effort you put into terminating their population, mosquitoes just keep growing in numbers. These tiny vampires are truly a nuisance, simply because they not only inflict painful itching over the bitten area but also have the potentials of spreading dreaded diseases like Malaria.

The following section will explain the working principle and the building procedure of this interesting “terminator" device or an indoor electric mosquito zapper.


Design

CIRCUIT DIAGRAM
We know that electronic mosquito zappers usually come exactly in the form of a badminton racket, and quite similarly have a net woven over its top circular frame; whereas the handle part consists of an electronic circuit and a battery pack integrated with the net assembly.

The net structure is primarily made up of three layers of metal mesh and is rather a complicated assembly.

The inner central layer is actually the "hot" mesh and is terminated as a high voltage source from the circuit enclosed in the lower handle area. The outer two layers are simply connected with the negative of the battery and constitute the ground for a return path to the central “hot" mesh line.

However since the inner layer and the outer layers are separated from each other at a reasonable distance, the high voltage from the central mesh in unable to arc-off through the outer layers, but when a “victim" (a mosquito in this case) flies into this trap and bridges itself in between the layers, its body creates a low resistance path in between the layers of the mesh so that the high voltage is now able to arc through the body of the mosquito which is instantly electrocuted.

The circuit supplying the required high voltages to the above mesh in fact becomes the heart of the whole procedure; let’s study the actual circuit details.

Referring to the figure alongside we see that the circuit is basically made up of three stages viz. the power supply stage, the oscillator stage and the voltage booster stage.

The power supply stage is a simple transformer less power supply circuit which has been comprehensively discussed in one of my previous articles, you can read it HERE.

The rectified voltage from the above power supply circuit is used to trickle charge an inbuilt rechargeable battery as long as the indoor electric mosquito zapper is not in use.

When the battery gets fully charged, it just needs to be switched ON for the required function. The switched ON voltage from the battery is applied to the next oscillator stage comprising a transistorT1/transformerTr1 coupled oscillator configuration.

The accompanied transformer steps-up the oscillating frequency at its secondary winding and functions like a smaller version of an Inverter.

The stepped-up AC at the output of the transformer is further boosted up through a diode/capacitor (D3, D4, C5, C6) ladder network; the concept has been thoroughly explained in one of my previous article titled “Air Ionizer."

The boosted voltage ranging several thousand volts gets stored inside an output AC capacitor C7 across the output HOT ends which are finally terminated to the bat meshes and becomes ready to “shoot."

The moment a mosquito or any bug comes in contact with the meshes, the stored high voltage in the capacitor discharges violently through the body of the entangled bug creating a big spark and electrocuting it instantly.

Who do you think the best healer? After play for months, there are my experience about them


1- Aishah

-Her ultimate is the best healing overtime, with ~ 100 AT first, and 2 turn after that with 40% AT each turn, for entire team. But if her ultimate come more often than 3 turn, the effect of 2 turns heal overtime does not stack. This healing set as 1 hit, so its insane when crit.
-Her normal Skill heal 3 target with about ~ 80% AT, and give them 10% DR for 2 turn, and its cooldown is 2 turn too? This is really a strong skill, total healing is about 250% AT, and it give a buff of 10% DR.
-Her passive is strong too, steal 200 rage each 2 turn, its too good for a healer.
-Overall, she is good tanker healer at bot front spot, and less effective at mid or top front, because her healing is about healing overtime. The normal skill is also count as an aura 10% DR for 3 members as long as shes alive.

2- Thera

-Her ultimate is best healing aoe at once, with ~ 150% AT for entire team. The healing is set as 4 hits, so make its very stable healing even when crit triggers.
-Her normal skill Heal 1 target with 200% AT, cooldown 2 turns, and remove all debuff on the target. This skill is decent, total amount of healing is not high because it easy to be waste by overheal, only the effect remove debuff is nice.
-Her passive give 10% DR entire team for 2-4 turns (depend on upgrade), not so bad. But if the fight becomes longer, its obsoleted.
-Thera suit best for the top or mid front spot tanker, those spot that take heavy damaged. Her ultimate is not limited by overtime effect like Aishah, so more damage, more rage, more heal.

3- Flora

-Her ultimate heals 2 targets with huge amount of healing, buff rage and attack. Its easy to see shes the best for 3 characters team.
-Her normal skill heal 1 target each turn, also give rage. Thats mean she doenst have normal strike, but thats great, because who need healer does some useless weak normal strike and feed enemy some rage?
-Her passive maybe the strongest of them all, 250 rage each turn, more ultimate, and make ultimate be the most effective compare to others healer.
-Flora, like Thera, is suit for heavy tank spots. Shes the best at counter shock, focus, spike damage, therefore, the disadvantage of her is to counter aoe damage, shes need atleast 2 turns to heal entire team.

4- Main character

-Main character for healing is meta now, i think. Why? because we need 1 healer and 1 supporter, and while there are 3 mythic heroes, the supporter is a must, there is only 1 option left is replace healer with your main.
-MC healing skill is combine and better version of those 3 healer, bigger amount of aoe healing due to MC AT, with better effect (15% DR with Emerald set). Normal skill is strong too.
-The only real disadvantage of MC healer is the bonus stats from augument for MC is balance, not tank focus like 3 healers, so you waste some small amount of potential for main character. But who care?
-MC healer is not too tanky, so he can stand on the bot front spot.

So, after analysis, i give mark to the healers

1 Main Character: ultimate 10, normal 10, passive 10, tank 6. Total 36
2 Aishah:  ultimate 9, normal 8, passive 8, tank 9. Total 34
3 Flora: ultimate 7, normal 9, passive 9, tank 9. Total 34

4 Thera: ultimate 8, normal 7, passive 7, tank 9. Total 33



OPINIONS:


USER 1
You've made a few errors in your analysis. The 3 legendary healers do not have the same stats, defensively. Thera overall has the highest survivability, with Flora having the lowest, Aishah being in the middle. Offensively, their stats are also different, with Flora having the most, Thera having slightly less, and Aishah getting absolutely crushed by both of them. Also, your analysis of main characters in general is far off. They're absurdly defensive in comparison to other heroes. Main characters inherently have lower ATK and higher DEF than all non-tank heroes, with the same level of upgrades and gear, unless you invest massively in outfits, mounts, and accessories.. then main characters are equal in ATK, and much much higher in DEF in comparison. Overall, when comparing the 3 healers with main character as healer, the only one that could be argued to be worse than main is Flora. Aishah is healing more, and providing DR, plus reducing enemy rage, and Thera is healing a ridiculous amount more.

In short, your rankings are way off... Thera is by far the best healer in the game, with Flora and main fighting for last place, with Aishah in a distant 2nd from both ends.

Also I'd like to mention that a 3 mythic build is laughably stupid... it has absolute 0 strategic thought behind it. Essentially just like trying to ram through steel walls with their face. It works if you smack hard enough, but who has the money to make that actually work? Moira only works as a solo carry build. Thus a 3 mythic build is absolutely pointless.

USER 2

-First, 3 Mythic build is not stupid, i saw it in every top formation, simple, because those mythic heroes are stronger than any legendary dam dealer heroes no matter what formation setup and strategy. Some heavy cashers even dont care about healer, or support, they have 4 dam dealer formation.

-About 3 Legendary healers, their stats are the same, only different skills. You cant say 2 heroes with the same stats who is tankier.

USER 3
If you take a look at their Augment, you will see the differences of the Healers. For example: Aishah has 38% DR, Thera has 41% DR while Flora has 39%.

And Flora's Ultimate doesn't buff Rage.

I second this, main has a high survivability baseline and can be ramped up in what it lacks with costumes jewelry and the like. Also coming with the fluidity of not ALWAYS needing to be healer and the choice of skills (whether just dream skills or maybe dream ult and ocean normal, or even something like dream ult and academy normal) with the varying costumes that are already out and the ones to undoubtedly be released in the future.

I think the formular is different. There is nothing prove that 2% DR worth 10% HP, its just the cost of stars in abyss. In fact, 10% DR means 11.11% more HP, 20% DR means 25% more HP, so on, 50% DR that mean 100% more HP, ... But remember, DR can be counter by Dam Increase, example, if enemy have dam +30%, and you have 45% DR, thats mean you take -15% damage.

Just converting DR% into HP% is incorrect. You could calculate it like this, if there was no healing. But there is, and it actually is the topic of this thread. DR helps your healer to keep up, HP doesn't. So 20%DR is worth much more than 20% (or 25%) HP.

If you were talking about the best possible healer with or without cash, that's Thera with 0 question. Flora cannot handle AoE even remotely, and both main healer and Aishah can't get close to Thera's healing. As I've said many times... Thera is without question the best HEALER... however aishah, flora, and main all have support skills, whereas Thera really doesn't. To be frank, main healer is nice, for midas players, but both Aishah and Thera can do the heals better, and main characters are amazing as dps heroes thanks to accessory skills. As a side note, if something works best for VIP 0, that means it's the most efficient path, which also means that it would be the best for cash players as well. If something does NOT work for VIP 0 yet works for cash players, that means it's a very poor build that only works if you overpower the enemy, meaning that they'd do far better using a different build.

I'm not an expert on strategy, but I'm suprised that on a discussion about healers there's no mention about supports. It's a healer's job to keep the team alive, and the supports all help their healer with that in some way or another:

Kay can help Aishnah a lot by increasing dodge and stunning an enemy DPS. Every dodge and stunned DPS means less damage that Aishnah needs to heal back. She can be a bit unreliable at times (dodge is partly luckbased, and stun doesn't work on some pve bosses, Pamela and Pandora), but most of the time Kay does help quite a bit with reducing the damage that team takes, making Aishnah's life easier.

Liz feeds a lot of rage to Thera so she can spam more of those superheals. She also stuns, but mainly the rage gain is what helps Thera.

Athena's shields negate a fair ammount of damage to all teammembers, and they really make up for Flora's downside of only targeting 2 heroes. The 40% DR buff also helps keep a damaged hero alive, but mainly the shields are a huge help for Flora. Without them I think it's a safe assumption Flora could not keep 5 heroes alive against a strong enemy.

Of course you don't have to match all heroes to be of the same nation, and even if you do, the MC can be in any nation. And yes I realise this thread is a discussion about healers, not supports, but since they help the healer so much in their role of keeping the party alive by making up for the healer's weaknesses and/or giving extra survivability to the team, I don't think they should be left out of the discussion...

I agree with you gjs, healers need their support team to be effective.  Having said that I run Aisha and Kay on my main but under my second account I run Thera and Liz and I personally think that this combo is more effective than the tempest combo.

Not to ruin the mood here, but Liz's main benefit isn't even the rage. Her ATK and DEF boost far outweigh the benefit of either Athena or Kay's ultimate without the rage. The rage is just what pushes it to an unquestionable superiority.

REPLY: the main benefit there is in rage, you're not generating rage for the enemy that way. It still amounts to less actual healing than any other healer.

For NPN transistor Keep one probe(Red) on Base and other(Black) on emitter, Multimeter should indicate some resistance value, when we reverse the probe(Red probe on emitter and Black on Base) it should indicate "1" Next keep probe(Red)on base and other(Black) on collector, Multimeter should indicate value and when you reverse the probe Multimeter should indicate "1" .Now keep one probe in Emitter and other in Base , Multimeter should indicate value "1" and if you reverse the probe Multimeter should indicate the same-: "1".

If the transistor passes above test it is perfectly good.while testing if you hear a buzzer sound then transistor is damaged, you have to replace new transistor. While replacing please note the number written in transistor(Eg BC 547) and replace it with same number.
From the number of transistor we can find it whether it's NPN or PNP type transistor by checking it's data sheet.

After testing of transistor, test the capacitor, keep one end of capacitor with one probe and other end of capacitor with other probe, in continuity mode if it indicates short circuit ( buzzer sound), capacitor is damaged and we have to replace the capacitor.same way test the diode also.Replace capacitance of same capacitance(in farad) and voltage rating.In similar way test the diodes also.


So replace the electronic component which has failed and connect the battery again and close the bat. Now the mosquito bat should be working.

I'm making this as a resource to try and help people get to know the game a bit better. I'd like to state that I'm in no way a part of this game's development or creation, just a player who's spent hours upon hours observing and calculating to figure out as much as I can about how the game mechanics truly work. This is not a complete guide by any means, but I hope to clear up some misunderstandings, especially around a few common topics.

CRITS AND CRIT DAMAGE
One big misunderstanding is in this area, and in particular Lucas' Ultimate Skill. Crit itself affects only the frequency with which critical hits occur. Crit damage only affects the damage that happens when a critical hit occurs. A normal critical hit with no boosts to crit damage does 50% extra damage, so 1.5x as much. Lucas' Ultimate Skill has a 100% crit damage boost built in. This adds 100% damage to his Ultimate Skill's crit bonus, which means 150% bonus damage, or 2.5x as much.

AGILITY
This particular topic isn't too common among long time players, but it's worth going over. Agility does nothing more than determine the order that heroes move in. When multiple Ultimate Skills trigger simultaneously, agility determines which actives first as well.

HUXLEY
Now, there are 2 very common misconceptions about Huxley that I'd like to clear up here. We'll start with the more common one, the Execution built into his Ultimate Skill. Huxley's Ultimate Skill's Execution is checked before he deals the damage from his Ultimate Skill, so the only time that Execution is causing increased damage is when his Ultimate Skill would deal less than 20% of the enemy HP in damage, while they were already under 20%. Another somewhat common misconception about this fellow is with his augment 4 skill. The skill adds 25% of Huxley's ATK stat in damage to all his attacks. It does not make Huxley deal 25% more damage, and it does not give Huxley 25% more ATK, but simply adds damage equal to 25% of his ATK. By far one of the weakests boosts to overall damage of all the augment 4 skills that do such a thing.

RAGE
This is one of the more common things I see people misunderstand about. The way that rage is generated by your party. A hero gains rage when they kill an enemy hero, 300 to be exact, for each kill. A hero also gains rage when they attack an enemy with a normal skill or basic attack, each of which seems to add up to 250 rage total, scattered between all hits of the attack. Dodges do seem to reduce the amount of rage gained slightly for the attacker, but not eliminate all rage gain entirely. In addition, a hero gains rage when they take damage. The amount of damage seems to be directly related to the amount of rage gained, for example 50% of your max HP in damage seems to generate 500 rage, 60% seems to generate 600, and so on, though I admit the exactness of my calculations for that may not be 100% accurate, since battle speeds are troublesome for gathering such specific data, but they are at least accurate enough to give a good idea of how it works.

STAT GROWTH
This seems to be a topic most don't know the details of, and only one who truly wishes to master this game would ever care to know about. The stats of your heroes are recalculated every time you make any change, and the formula seems to be a generalized pattern. All additions to stats are added to the base, and all percentage increases are added together. In example, a 10% boost, a 14% boost, and a 26% boost to the same stat amount to a 50% increase. After that is done, the new base stats modified by those stat additions is multiplied by the percentage increase total, to give you the numbers listed on your squad screen. Not the most useful piece of information, for most, but those who can make use of it should do well with this.

This is by no means a complete guide, but I hope it helped some people. I'm always trying to figure this stuff out to better my own game, so I may update this guide later.

Ques. Where did you find the 2.2 Def ? Doesn't seem accurate to me, if i use your Formula i end up with my Moira taking 0 damage from anyone on my server. But she does.

I found the formula by careful testing and analysis. None of the damage comes out as the formula predicts unless that's 2.2*DEF. I took a few test cases, using all the appropriate measures of target DR, target DEF, attacker DMG, and attacker ATK at the instant in battle the strike occurred, modified by all applicable buffs that were active at the time of the strike. 0 damage is an impossibility from skills due to the fixed addition of damage they all come with, and basic attacks can never deal less than a certain amount of damage either. Most likely, you're forgetting to factor all appropriate during battle buffs, or perhaps not accurately adding up your own stats. Keep in mind that the stats listed in your squad screen are essentially the stats you enter battle with, so only the effects of in battle buffs are changing those stats, at least for HP, ATK, DEF, and Agility. Everything else is already accounted for in those stats, from augments, upgrades, animate, enhances, and runes.

As for Anima and Mount data, those are found easily by inspecting the opposing heroes, keeping in mind that only the DMG and DR boosts aren't listed in the heroes' stats already. Level difference is a possibility, but unlikely considering that stats are boosted from levels already. As for the DEF, I've confirmed it does indeed work that way for situations without extraordinarily outmatched enemies. There are a few reasons that might explain your situation. Skills will always have damage, since they have the addition after the ATK-DEF calculation, that much is a certainty. However, it's also likely that there is a minimum ATK power that can come from the DEF calculations. This is most likely proportional to the original ATK stat, as it makes little sense for 20k ATK to be even with 100k ATK, no matter the DEF of the enemy. I'll have to do some digging to find the exact minimum, but I'm certain it exists.

To find anima and mounts in inspection, double click the character's icon to the left of the screen when you view an opponent, scroll down to see all applicable buffs, except for gear set bonuses in example the 8% DR for having 4 pieces of imperial gear on that member and relic random buff DR, DMG, and CRIT DMG. I do agree, it does seem to be that ATK has a range... Though the formula does seem to be quite accurate for skills against opponents with reasonable DEF compared to your ATK. Can't seem figure out anything for basic attacks though.

New information to incorporate, so here we go.
DAMAGE CALCULATION AND CRIT MODIFIERS
So, there is a specific formula used to determine damage, and now I'm gonna spread it out there. Keep in mind all references to stats are the stats at the particular moment in battle that the instance occurs, after all modifying buffs. The formula is:
DAMAGE=(ATK-(2.2*DEF))*SKILL MODIFIER*(1+((SUM OF DMG BOOSTS)-(SUM OF DR BOOSTS)))*(CRIT MODIFIER)
Now to clarify some terms. ATK refers to the ATK of the one using the skill or basic attack. DEF refers to the DEF of the target. Skill modifier is the listed skill's effect, for example an ultimate skill will use the listed formula. For a basic attack, Skill modifier would be simply 1. DMG boosts refer to the one doing the damage, and DR boosts refer to the one taking damage. Crit modifier is the modified effect when a crit occurs. If it's not a crit, that's simply 1. Now, for the important crit modifier formula
CRIT MODIFIER=(1.5+(SUM OF CRIT DMG BOOSTS))
It's as simple as that, and yes, that includes any boost to crit damage skills have in them, including Lucas and Aphrodite. So Lucas' ultimate skill's 100% crit damage boost simply makes the natural crit modifier with no outside boosts 2.5 instead of the 1.5 like normal.
One important piece of information. All skills and attacks use that formula to determine their total damage. However, that damage is split amongst all hits of the attack or skill. So if some crit and some dont, or some are dodged and some arent, the total will be different. Each individual hero's basic attacks and skills have varying splits for their damage. For example, Llane's ultimate skill does a far greater amount of damage in the second hit compared to the first. This is indeed the formula used, however the damage itself is split amongst the separate hits in varying amounts based on the particular hero and skill, so it's difficult to compare when some of the hits are dodged, or some fail to crit when others do.

ques. Can you explain to me what to stats do and how should I prioritize them rune wise? Currently I go for ATK/DEF/HP/CRIT for dps and DEF/HP/ATK/DODGE for healer, a friend of mine is using Hit% on all of his hero's how does that affect his dmg/healing output at all because I dont understand the stat

Hit is a counter to dodge, it decreases the chance of the enemy dodging your attacks. Dodge increases your chance to dodge an enemy attack. Crit increases the chance of getting a critical hit. End decreases the chance of an enemy getting a critical hit on you. I explained Agility in the original post, and HP, ATK, and DEF are pretty self explanatory. Though I should mention that MDEF and PDEF are different, MDEF is your DEF against magical attacks, PDEF is your DEF against physical attacks, and I'm not quite sure which heroes use each kind of damage. Hit has no real effect when using a healer, but crit does, especially since a healer's heals ignore your party's End stat, so the chance is directly based on the crit stat of your healer, without the End reducing that chance.

At 1.2* DEF battle damage comes out at a ridiculously higher amount. As in, close to double the actual damage. I found the formula through testing, and calculations to see what formulas were even possible. That's the only formula I could find that accounts for ATK, DEF, DMG, and DR with skills. I'm not claiming it to be 100% accurate, but I can say with 100% certainty that 1.2*DEF is not part of the formula, as that creates damage almost double what we see in battles. For example, 100k atk heroes doing 500k  damage on crits with ult, rather than the 150-250k they actually are doing against appropriate opponents.

Now that that's out of the way, I'll get into it... being a VIP 0 myself, I'll shed some light into this area as well. My party is Thera-Liz-Pamela-Rei... 2 mythics, as a VIP 0. And here's the kicker... every shard chest, I've chosen to get Pamela shards, yet Rei is still getting more shards on average. So, it stands to reason that VIP 0 has no benefit to choosing 1 mythic instead of 2, as shard chests are not common enough for VIP 0 to guarantee that the 1 mythic would be higher than if you used 2 mythics instead, depending on the RNG of hero shop and which mythics you chose.

I can tell you my experience, swapping from Liz-Thera-Quaker-Llane into Liz-Thera-Pamela-Rei. At the time, all my legends were augment 10 and 11. When I swapped Quaker and Llane out, Pamela and Rei came in at augment 3. I dropped by 600k br, though at the time I had yet to collect any mythic gear for Pamela and Rei's affinities, so they only had the 1 ally each. However, despite that huge drop in br (I dropped from over 9m to under 8.5m, so at the time 600k was quite large), I still was even in power for PvP, and far stronger in PvE, though I did drop in boss damage by quite a bit. I hope this helped you figure out what you're going to do moving forward

I try to keep my party as even as I can, focusing on nobody, however there's always the point in the cycle when they're all even and the next round starts... I go Pamela first there, so whenever there's a gap in power between my members, Pam's the biggest. After that I go Rei, then Liz, Then Thera, then main. However, with equipment and relics I prioritize who can use it best (factoring affinities and relic bonus stats and such) so that throws it off too.
