Calibrating your LCD screen for correct color

Calibrating your LCD screen for correct color

Here are the best settings for a LCD television or computer monitor:
48 - Brightness
65 - Contrast
50 - Color
80 - Sharpness
50 - Tint - if available on your TV or monitor
Standard - Color Temperature

For most computer and PC use, the following:
It has been said that some of our software's graphical-user-interfaces are too light in color.

But I have to respectfully disagree with them. To get the right image color on your LCD monitor/screen, you first need to calibrate it to your eyes liking.

To do this you need to go to the following website to accomplish this. Screen Calibration

And if I may suggest the following settings for best viewing and user experience of your LCD monitor, if you have ATI Catalyst Control Center installed on your computer.

Best settings for viewing:

Before Calibration:
Screen Card Settings: (Radeon 9550 PCI-E)

Gamma: 0.5 >> 0.8 << 3.5 = 0.8 points on the gamma scale
Brightness: -100 >> -40 << 100 = -40 points on the brightness scale
Contrast: 0 >> 120 << 200 = 120 points on the contrast scale

Monitor Settings: ( LG Flatron W2243S )
Gamma: 0
Brightness: 75
Contrast: 80

After Calibration my screen card: ( Radeon 9550 PCI-E )

Gamma: 0.5 >> 1.0 << 3.5 - Set your screen to 1.0 points on the gamma scale
Brightness: -100 >> 0 << 100 - Set your screen to 0 points on the brightness scale
Contrast: 0 >> 100 << 200 - Set your screen to 100 points on the contrast scale

Monitor Settings: ( LG Flatron W2243S )
Gamma: -50
Brightness: 70
Contrast: 70

The above settings are what I currently use. It may be different for everybody else, but I found these to give me the best color and viewing pleasure on my computer.

Enjoy...!!!

P.S. >> Please let me know if possible what your current and new settings are on your LCD screen. It will definitely help me in creating better looking interfaces of all our software applications.
